President & CEO Lean In Energy
Denise has a long career in global remits in both corporate and consulting environments, focusing on OD, HR, and Learning & Development, particularly addressing talent, leadership, and transformation. Most recently, Denise has concentrated on the Energy sector and was elected to the position of President of Lean In Network Energy, from January 2022. Denise is also the Founder & CEO of Equity in Leadership, an organization dedicated to promoting efforts to increase women in C-Suite and Board positions, aiming to achieve much needed equity for women at senior levels through retained services for DEI outcomes in ESG frameworks. Denise’s interests in her volunteer work and professional life are more than well aligned and afford her the knowledge, pragmatic solutions and thought leadership for which she is acknowledged.
Denise is an experienced and trusted business partner, facilitator, mentor, and coach. She is degree qualified and is currently working on her PhD by Research in the aligned area of executive women leadership in the workplace. This together with her Lean In Network Energy Presidency and her Equity in Leadership role, places Denise in a prime position to act as a catalyst and thought leader to further the cause of equity for women in the workplace. Additionally, Denise is sitting on the HRD Advisory Board of the University of Houston for the second time, and she holds numerous certifications, including CTT, emotional intelligence and change management. She enjoys the challenge of working in and with ambiguous, nascent and maturing organizations, as in the Energy environment, post-Covid context and energy transition landscapes. Importantly, Denise uses her strong networking skills globally, and brings an outside-the-square ability to her thinking drawing on a multi-disciplinary approach to add value in complex scenarios, and transitioning in 21st Century contexts. For this reason Denise is also a widely requested guest speaker in a variety of communities of practice.
