Alejandro Allier

Commercial Manager Altamira LNG Terminal

BIO

Alejandro Allier has 30 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, where he has held management positions overseeing commercial and physical operations, successfully developing businesses, ensuring the delivery of expected financial results and providing professional advice to several customers. His experience has been primarily focused in the midstream and downstream segments of the oil and gas industry.

Mr. Allier’s specific expertise in the LNG industry include the development and implementation of the first-ever Mexican LNG terminal in Altamira; management of the LNG trading desk while he headed Mex Gas Internacional; the successful bid for LNG storage and regasification services in the Port of Pajaritos; and management of the storage services contract with a large Mexican electric utility. As Commercial Manager for the Terminal de LNG de Altamira, Alejandro Allier led the commercial efforts to secure a long-term storage contract that provided financial viability to the company.

Mr. Allier studied Chemical Engineering in the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He also earned an MS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Cranfield University in the UK. He holds a certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt practitioner from the American Society of Quality and is certified as a Project Management Professional and Agile Certified Practitioner by the Project Management Institute.
